Six of us children lived together at North Aston Hall in Oxfordshire when we were brought together because of the war. We had lots of fun when we discovered a Roman mosaic that could take us anywhere we liked, back or forwards in time! One day we went to Hadrian's Wall and saw the Romans in A.D.160! We also found another flying machine called a Pyramidion that used to belong to The Great Pyramid. We had to escape from foreign spies who tried to get the Pyramidion but we fooled them and accidentally went to Egypt where we found a Pharoah's tomb that nobody knew about! You can discover a secret we found about The Great Pyramid but first of all you will have to find a secret code that Peter found which is in the book.

THE RED AND BLUE PROJECTIONS ARE BASED ON AUTHENTIC ROMAN SETTLEMENTS WHICH ARE THE FLIGHT PATHS DISCOVERED BY THE CHILDREN. NORTH ASTON LIES ON THE RED AND BLUE AXIS. THE BOOK IS INTENDED FOR CHILDREN 8 - 14 AND IS MOSTLY FICTIONAL, ALTHOUGH THE MAIN CHARACTERS, THE LOCATIONS, AND SOME EVENTS ARE TRUE WHICH MAY APPEAL TO OTHER READERS. FOR EXAMPLE, AMERICAN SERVICEMEN WERE BASED IN THE GROUNDS OF NORTH ASTON HALL BEFORE EMBARKING FOR D-DAY IN NORMANDY. JOYCE GRENFELL WAS A RELATIVE AND OFTEN VISITED NORTH ASTON HALL.
